Warm Hearts of Stow is an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3) charity whose mission is to aid underprivileged Stow families and seniors by providing emergency assistance, summer camp scholarships, back-to-school supplies, warm winter clothing and holiday meals and gifts.
Founded in September of 2007 by Louise Peacock, a retired school nurse, along with a small group of volunteers, Warm Hearts has served its Stow neighbors in need for 19 years!
Warm Hearts relies entirely on contributions from the community to fund its work. An annual grant from the Stow Community Chest coupled with a few small grants from businesses and donations from local individuals/organizations provide our ongoing financial support.
Warm Hearts takes great pride in providing timely and confidential assistance to families in Stow who are experiencing financial hardship. Our organization’s programs address our clients’ financial needs by providing assistance that is not part of a government subsidy program or supplied by another organization.
In order to maximize client services and avoid duplication of effort, we work closely with St. Vincent De Paul, the Stow Council on Aging, the Stow Food Pantry, the town social worker, the Stow Recreation Director, and the local churches. We have an experienced group of directors and streamlined processes that provide our clients much needed support year after year.
